As a recent Nielsen study revealed, the number one web use of mobile devices is that of email - a whopping 41.6%. While social networking dominates desktop use, the predominance of email on mobile is no doubt business driven - because of new smart phones which let users easily access business email. Smartphones like BlackBerry, iPhone and Droid are a very handy way to access business information even while on the go. This is also the reason for the growth of push email and mobile messaging solutions in the market, as companies increasingly look to enable their traveling or distributed workforce with business information like email, contacts, calendars and tasks etc. Against this backdrop HyperOffice recently released a matrix comparing the major push email solutions in the market. The matrix includes Google Apps, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange and Hypersynch. You can see it below:-
